What is the 22K gold-plated finish?
This piece is made from S925 sterling silver with approximately 0.05 μm of 22K gold electroplating, finished with a vacuum-applied nano protective coating. The coating helps protect the plated finish from everyday exposure but is not permanent or scratch-proof. Learn more in our Materials & Standards.
How should I care for this piece?
Wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth after wear and store separately. Avoid water, perfume, lotions, chlorine and household chemicals. Do not use silver dip, abrasive polish, steam or ultrasonic cleaning on the plated finish.
To keep your DHARIN piece at its best, take it off before swimming, bathing or exercise, and put it on only after perfume, lotion and cosmetics have dried. Chlorine and household chemicals can dull both metal and stones.
Store each piece separately in its DHARIN pouch to prevent scratches. For everyday cleaning, wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners.
Sterling silver darkens gradually with exposure to air; a jewelry polishing cloth restores its shine. Gold vermeil is a layer of 18K gold over sterling silver, so keep it dry and avoid abrasive polishing to protect the finish. Solid 14K gold needs only an occasional wipe.
